On the first day of the US attack on Iran, Western sources revealed today (Saturday) that 51 schoolgirls were killed in a school bombing in southern Iran, as well as Iran’s defense minister and Revolutionary Guards commander, who were killed in the Israeli attack.

“Iranian Defense Minister Amir Nasser Zadeh and Revolutionary Guards Commander Mohammad Pakpour were killed,” Reuters reported, citing three sources, while Iranian media reported that 51 schoolgirls were killed in a school bombing in the city of Minab in Hormozgan province in southern Iran.

Iran’s Tasnim news agency said seven missiles targeted the presidential palace, where Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian resides, and the residence of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei in Tehran, but did not specify the extent of the losses or the nature of the damage.

Israel’s Channel 12 reported, citing sources, that initial assessments in Israel indicate that “very significant successes” have been achieved in airstrikes targeting Iran, with a focus on eliminating senior political and military leaders.

The U.S. Department of Defense (Department of Defense) called the joint military operation with Israel against Iran “Grand Fury,” and Iran called the operation “True Promise 4.”

The Israeli military announced yesterday (Saturday) night that it had completed a major attack targeting Iranian defense systems, including in the country’s western regions.

He noted that one of the attacks was directed at the SA-65 advanced air defense system in the Kermanshah region of western Iran, and also targeted members of the Iranian leadership by simultaneously bombing multiple locations in Tehran, which had launched a coordinated attack with the United States against Iran.

More than 10 American warships deployed to the region participated in support of military operations related to the attack on Iran.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres has issued a condemnation of the military escalation in the Middle East, calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities and calm, saying otherwise there is a risk of a wider regional conflict erupting.

Russia and China called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on Iran, and the UN Security Council announced hours later that it would hold an emergency meeting to discuss regional de-escalation.

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed deep concern over the US and Israeli military attacks on Iran and called for an immediate halt to military operations in the Middle East.

The prime minister stressed that “Iran’s national sovereignty, security and territorial integrity must be respected,” and called on all parties to “avoid further escalation of tensions and resume dialogue and negotiations.”

Subsequently, the Israeli military announced that it had completed a major attack on the Iranian regime’s strategic defense systems.
