Okaz visited Al Nasr club and Saudi national team star captain Abdul Rahman al-Bisi at a private hospital in Riyadh after he was taken out of intensive care and taken by medical evacuation plane from Dammam to the capital.
In an interview with Okaz, Al-Bisi explained that he is now in good health after being in intensive care for more than 27 days, and at the same time appealed for support, including providing a nurse to care for his wife, who has a difficult health condition.
“I would like to express my gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the trusted Crown Prince, Crown Prince Turki bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, who supported my treatment and provided the necessary medical care for my condition. He is not immune to our wise leadership,” Al-Bisi said, speaking in writing and translated through a loudspeaker.
He added, “I would also like to thank my family, my parents, and my wife, who have shown interest in me, cared for me, and constantly followed me.”
Meanwhile, in a conversation with Okaz, Badi al-Bisi (father of captain Abdul Rahman) appealed to the sports minister and sports leaders to support his son, who contributed to Saudi football through Al Nasr club and the national team.
“According to the medical report on his current health condition, Mr. Abdulrahman needs permission to be transferred to a specialized hospital in Riyadh,” he said.
He added: “We are still waiting for expert clearance to receive him since he arrived in the capital on a medical evacuation from Dammam.”
Captain Abdul Rahman’s wife expressed concern that he may not be transferred as quickly as needed, especially as the current medical staff do not have a good understanding of his health condition, which is reflected in the improvement of his symptoms and treatment plan, which requires urgent transfer to a specialist.
