Today (Friday), gold prices fell on the strength of the dollar, continuing to rise for the third consecutive week.
Spot gold prices fell 0.1% to $4,759.54 per ounce. However, the metal achieved a gain of 1.8% since the beginning of the week.
US gold futures for June delivery fell 0.7% to $4,782.70.
As for other precious metals, silver rose 0.9% to $75.74 an ounce in spot trading, platinum fell 2% to $2,061.06 and palladium fell 1.2% to $1,539.43.
