Tirana, March 12, 2025 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully distributed 80 food baskets in Peqin, Republic of Albania, benefiting 400 individuals as part of the fourth phase of the “Etaam” Ramadan Food Basket Project for the year 1446 AH. This initiative is a vital component of Saudi Arabia’s continuous humanitarian efforts to provide relief to vulnerable populations during the holy month of Ramadan.

The “Etaam” project, launched by KSrelief, aims to distribute a total of 390,109 food baskets across 27 countries, benefitting an estimated 2,304,104 people. With a total cost exceeding SAR 67,064,000, the project is one of the most comprehensive Ramadan assistance programs initiated by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It reflects the Kingdom’s deep commitment to supporting global humanitarian needs and providing essential aid to those who are struggling due to economic hardship or other challenges.

In Albania, the distribution in Peqin is just one example of the ongoing efforts in the region, which continue to bring hope and relief to many individuals and families during Ramadan. The food baskets, which include essential items such as grains, oil, and canned food, are intended to support communities by ensuring they have access to nutritious meals to break their fasts during this sacred month.

This initiative is part of a broader series of relief efforts by KSrelief, which consistently works to alleviate suffering and promote well-being in areas affected by conflict, natural disasters, and poverty. Through these efforts, KSrelief seeks to embody the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s values of compassion, generosity, and solidarity with those in need, regardless of their geographical location or background.

The “Etaam” project also underscores the importance of international collaboration, as KSrelief works alongside local partners and authorities to ensure that the aid reaches the people who need it most. The distribution of food baskets during Ramadan not only provides immediate relief but also reinforces the values of charity, unity, and humanitarian support that are central to the spirit of the holy month.

As the “Etaam” Ramadan Food Basket Project continues throughout the month, KSrelief remains dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of millions of people, with the overarching goal of alleviating hunger and providing much-needed support to some of the most vulnerable communities around the world.
