In-store sales of 12.5 billion riyals in 7 days – Saudi News

Over-the-counter sales in Saudi Arabia amounted to approximately SR12.5 billion in the week ending January 24, 2026, compared to approximately SR14 billion in the previous week.

According to the weekly report on OTC activities published by the Saudi Arabian Central Bank (SAMA), the number of transactions performed in the last week reached approximately 213.6 million, compared to approximately 236.5 million in the previous week.

The data shows that in-store sales increase in weeks that coincide with school holidays and the weeks before Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, as well as in the weeks that coincide with the payment of salaries to government employees (27th of each month).
