Iran’s representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Alfani, called on the United Nations Security Council to take action in the face of the United States’ continued threats to use force against sovereign states and take control of foreign lands.
In a statement today (Tuesday), Elfani acknowledged that US President Donald Trump has publicly and repeatedly threatened military intervention and the use of force against Iran, and considered these actions to be clear violations of international law.
The representative of Iran called on the Security Council to be frank and condemn U.S. violations “by name,” warning that ignoring such threats would undermine security and stability in the international arena.

The door to diplomacy is open
The US president confirmed that diplomatic avenues are still open in negotiations with Iran, indicating the Iranian government’s willingness to reach an agreement. President Donald Trump said in an interview with Axios yesterday (Monday): “They want to get a deal. I know that very well. They’ve contacted us a number of times and they want to talk.”
no final decision has been made
Meanwhile, President Trump described the situation in Iran as “unstable” and said he had ordered a “massive fleet” into the region. In this context, he explained that the decision to deploy the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln to the Middle East was taken as part of this move, adding: “We have a huge naval presence near Iran, even larger than the fleet around Venezuela,” although he did not specify the nature of the options presented by the national security team.
In the same context, Axios quoted sources as saying that President Trump has not yet made a final decision and that additional talks are likely to continue this week if other possible military options are presented to him.
Iran’s representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, called on the United Nations Security Council to take action on the United States’ continued threats to use force against sovereign states and control foreign territory.

Iran’s representative took a clear stand and called on the Security Council to name U.S. violations “by name,” warning that ignoring such threats could undermine security and stability in the international arena.
