JEDDAH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman, issued a series of royal decrees on Saturday, including changes in the cabinet and several government officials.
By royal decree, Bandar Al Khoraiyev was relieved of his duties as Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, and Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman was appointed Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, in addition to his current role as Minister of Energy.
Mr. Al Khoraf was appointed Minister of State and member of the Council of Ministers. He was also appointed to serve as acting governor of the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) following the dismissal of the latter, Enji Johnson. Ahmad Al Ohri.
The royal decree also relieved Sharan al-Sharan from his duties as deputy public prosecutor and appointed him as an advisor to the Royal Court.
Among other appointments, Mr. Ehsan Bafaqi was appointed as Mayor of Jeddah, Dr. Mohammed Al Mutlaq was appointed as Deputy Minister of Justice, Mr. Talal Al Hammoud was appointed as Deputy Governor of the Saudi Central Bank for Technical Affairs, and Mr. Abdulila Al Duhaiim was appointed as Deputy Governor of the Saudi Central Bank for Administration.
