King Salman appoints new investment minister Fahd al-Saif

RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has appointed Fahad Al-Saif as the new Minister of Investment, replacing Khalid Al-Farih, who was appointed Minister of State and Cabinet.

This was part of a series of royal decrees issued by the king on Thursday, appointing and dismissing several senior officials in emirates, administrative regions, ministerial, judicial, administrative and advisory positions.
Attorney General Sheikh Saud Al Muajjab was relieved of his duties and appointed as a minister-level advisor to the Royal Court. Dr. Khalid Al Yusuf will become the new Attorney General. Sheikh Ali Al Ohideb was appointed as Chairman of the Grievance Committee, replacing Dr. Khalid Al Yusuf.
The king appointed Prince Fawaz bin Sultan as governor of Taif, replacing Prince Saud bin Nahar, who was appointed deputy ruler of the Madinah region and minister. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Abdullah was appointed deputy ruler of the northern border region with the rank of minister.

Prince Fahd bin Saad, governor of Diriyah province, was relieved of his position, Prince Raqan bin Salman was appointed as the new governor of Diriyah province with the rank of minister, and Prince Fahd bin Saad was appointed deputy ruler of Al Baha region with the rank of minister.

Deputy Minister of Tourism Haifa bint Mohammed was relieved of his post and appointed as an advisor to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.

Prince Saad bin Saud was appointed a member of the Shora Council.

Crown Prince Bandar bin Abdullah, Advisor to the Interior Minister on Technical Affairs, was relieved of his post and appointed as Advisor to the Interior Minister, and Deputy Minister of Justice, Dr. Nazim Al-Zayed, was dismissed from his post and appointed as Advisor to the Royal Court.

Mohamed Al Muhanna, Deputy Secretary of State for Security at the Ministry of Interior, has been removed and appointed Deputy Minister of the Interior for Operations. Abdulaziz Al-Arifi, Advisor to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, was relieved of his position and appointed as Director-General of the National Development Fund.

The King appointed Dr. Abdullah Al Magroos as Deputy Minister of Media, and the King of the United Kingdom appointed him as Deputy Minister of Media. Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology Haitham Al-Owhari has been relieved of his position and appointed as President of the Communications, Space and Technology Committee.

General Intelligence Director General Ahmed Al-Issa has been relieved of his duties at his request due to health reasons. Faihan Al-Sali has been appointed as the new Director General of Intelligence. Sulayman al-Qanas and Asaf Abu Tonain were appointed as advisors to the royal palace.

The king appointed a faculty of engineering. Tamer Al Harbi, Assistant Undersecretary of Interior (Technical Affairs) and Abdullah bin Fahd, Undersecretary of Interior (Security Affairs). Engineering Fawaz Al-Salih has been appointed as Director-General of the General Directorate of Transport.

The royal decree also includes the appointment of Bader Al-Suwairem, Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, for social development. Abdulmohsen Al-Mazeed, Deputy Minister of Tourism. Dr. Saad Al Harbi, Deputy Minister of Education for General Education; Saad Al Ruhaidan, Advisor to the Office of the Secretary of State for National Security;

Major General Khalid Al Duwaibi was promoted to lieutenant general and appointed deputy commander of the Guards, and Major General Suleiman Al-Maiman was promoted to lieutenant general.
