The Kuwait Civil Aviation Directorate announced today (Saturday) that it has confirmed that Kuwait International Airport was attacked by a drone, causing limited property damage to the T1 passenger terminal and minor injuries to a number of workers.
A spokesperson for Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation said the competent authorities immediately began implementing approved emergency procedures to respond to the accident and secure the scene, explaining that assessment, treatment and realignment of operational operations are continuing in accordance with the highest safety standards.
The authorities said the situation was fully under control by the relevant authorities in the country and the safety of travelers and workers was the top priority.
Emergency meeting of the Security Council

The U.S. Embassy in Lebanon strongly encouraged U.S. citizens in southern Lebanon, areas near the Syrian border, refugee camps, and Beirut’s Dahiya neighborhood to leave these areas immediately.
He said Rafik Hariri Airport remains open and commercial airline flights available, but flights could be canceled at any time, adding: “Americans who choose not to fly at this time should have emergency plans in place in case the situation worsens.”
She noted that these alternative plans should not rely on the U.S. government to secure the departure of aid or evacuation.
