Bishkek, March 13, 2025 — The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, through the Religious Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Kazakhstan, successfully launched the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Gift Programs on Wednesday, distributing dates and Iftar meals in the Kyrgyz Republic during the blessed month of Ramadan 1446 AH. The event took place at the prestigious Sheraton Hotel in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, and was attended by a host of dignitaries, including the Saudi Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Ibrahim bin Radi Al-Radi, alongside several key officials from both Saudi Arabia and Kyrgyzstan.
The initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to support humanitarian and religious projects worldwide, particularly during Ramadan. The two main programs—focused on distributing dates and providing Iftar meals—are designed to help meet the needs of fasting Muslims, especially those who might otherwise struggle to afford these essential items. As part of this charitable effort, a total of 10 tons of dates will be distributed, along with Iftar meals that will benefit more than 75,000 individuals across the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Gift Programs reflect Saudi Arabia’s commitment to sharing the blessings of Ramadan and fostering goodwill through acts of charity. These initiatives, which have become an integral part of Saudi Arabia’s foreign humanitarian efforts, aim to ensure that as many people as possible can participate in the spirit of Ramadan by providing them with the necessary sustenance for breaking their fasts.
This year’s program highlights the strong bond between Saudi Arabia and Kyrgyzstan, as well as the Kingdom’s deep commitment to helping Muslims around the world observe Ramadan with dignity and ease. Through such initiatives, Saudi Arabia continues to embody its leadership in global humanitarian aid, demonstrating its role as a key supporter of religious and humanitarian causes across the globe.
