Solo, March 15, 2025 – The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted an impressive Ramadan iftar banquet yesterday in Solo, Central Java Province, Indonesia, as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ ongoing iftar program for Ramadan 1446 AH. This year, the program continues to bring together communities around the world, supporting Muslim populations during the blessed month of Ramadan.
The event, which took place across an expansive 2,800 square-meter area, welcomed over 20,000 fasting individuals, reflecting the immense scale and outreach of the initiative. The iftar banquet saw the collaboration of 20 local restaurants, who worked together to prepare the meal, ensuring a rich variety of food for the diverse attendees. This collaboration not only highlights the local community’s involvement but also underscores the spirit of togetherness and sharing that Ramadan embodies.
In ensuring the safety and comfort of all participants, the ministry took meticulous care to provide all necessary facilities. Rain shelters were set up to protect attendees from the unpredictable weather, while ambulances were on standby to address any health concerns that might arise during the gathering. A dedicated cleaning and operational team worked tirelessly to maintain cleanliness and order, while a security detail ensured the smooth management of the large crowd and the orderly distribution of meals.
The iftar banquet in Solo stands as a shining example of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to fostering solidarity, unity, and compassion across the Muslim world during Ramadan. This event, along with similar ones in other countries, plays a crucial role in bringing together individuals from all walks of life, offering not only a shared meal but also a profound sense of community. The Kingdom’s continued support through such initiatives reflects its broader vision of promoting welfare, peace, and fellowship among Muslims globally.
