Mecca — Prince Saud bin Mishal, Ruler of Mecca Region, on behalf of Prince Khaled bin Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Ruler of Mecca Region, recognized the winners in nine categories of the 17th Makkah Excellence Awards 2025.
The ceremony, held on Wednesday, was attended by the prince, senior officials, and heads of participating organizations.
In his speech, Prince Saud said the award honors those whose work reflects creativity and lasting impact, confirming that the region continues to move forward in line with the vision of leadership under King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
He emphasized that the award continues to be committed to recognizing achievement, excellence and meaningful contributions that leave a positive impact, congratulating the recipients and thanking all those who have fulfilled their mission of excellence.
In the economic excellence category, the Jeddah Food Cluster under the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Special Zones (MODON) won the award.
Jeddah Education Directorate received the Science and Technology Excellence Award for its “Challenge Nafees” initiative.

The Social Excellence Award was awarded to the Saleh Abdullah Kamel Humanitarian Foundation.
The winner of the Urban Excellence Award was the Jeddah Yacht Club Project, while the Social Excellence Award was jointly won by Mecca Special Education Sanad Municipality and the Saleh Abdullah Kamel Humanitarian Foundation.
The High Hajj Committee received the Administrative Excellence Award.
The Hajj Project Management Office received the Hajj Umrah Service Excellence Award for its “Service Program to Guests of Allah” and the Crown Prince’s Blood Donation Campaign received the Humanitarian Excellence Award.

The General Entertainment Bureau won the Cultural Excellence Award for the “Arakta” project.
The Environmental Fund won the Environmental Excellence Award for its “Beach Treatment and Protection” initiative, and the General Entertainment Authority won the Cultural Excellence Award for its “Arakta” project.
Since its inception in 2008, the Mecca Excellence Awards have served as a national platform to promote a culture of mastery and encourage high-quality work across sectors. Each year, the award receives more than 5,300 applications from institutions and individuals, contributing to regional development and strengthening the performance of Mecca’s institutions.
