press release:
Saudi digital health startup Metafare has closed its first funding round at $1 million, backed by Harmonics Ventures and Family Office Group, as it aims to scale its healthcare platform using AI and virtual reality.
The funding will support the company’s expansion across Saudi Arabia, the development of its AI-driven personalization technology, and the growth of its health content library, with plans to gradually enter the Gulf market over time.
Founded to reimagine how healthcare is delivered, Metafare combines virtual reality and artificial intelligence to deliver an interactive telehealth experience that eliminates the need for traditional clinic visits.
The platform focuses on improving both physical fitness and mental health, offering short, personalized sessions that can easily be incorporated into users’ daily lives, whether at home or at work.
Since its launch in mid-2025, Metafare has delivered more than 3,000 virtual health sessions, reflecting the growing demand for flexible and accessible healthcare solutions among individuals and organizations.
As companies increasingly focus on employee benefits programs, the startup is positioning itself at the intersection of healthcare, workplace productivity, and digital innovation.
Going forward, as demand for technology-enabled preventive healthcare solutions increases, Metafare plans to enhance its AI capabilities, expand its offerings, and expand across the Gulf.
