The National Meteorological Center predicted in its weather forecast for today (Saturday) that light rain and fog may occur in parts of the highlands of Jizan, Asir, Al-Baha and Makkah regions, extending to parts of Riyadh and Sharqiyah regions, while active winds that stir up dust and dirt will continue to affect parts of these regions and the coastal areas of Tabuk and Medina regions. Temperatures also continue to drop significantly, with early morning frost possible in parts of the northern part of the kingdom.
According to the report, the surface winds in the Red Sea are from the northwest to the north, ranging from 20 to 40 km/h in the northern and central regions, reaching speeds of 15 to 32 km/h with the formation of thunderclouds, reaching 45 km/h, and wave heights of 1 to 2 meters in the northern and central regions, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the south, reaching over 2 meters with the formation of rain clouds. Sea conditions will be small to medium waves, with thunderclouds forming and reaching waves. It’s raining in the south.
In the Arabian Gulf, rain thunderclouds have formed in the north, moving from northwest to northeast at a speed of 10-25 km per hour, reaching 40 km per hour, and in the south-central region, moving from southeast to northeast at 10-22 km per hour, with wave heights of 0.5 meters to 1 meter, up to 2 meters; rain thunder clouds have formed in the north, and the sea condition is light to wavy. Rainy thunderclouds form in the north.
