“Meteorology”: Thunderstorms in four regions – Saudi News

The National Meteorological Center predicted in its weather forecast today (Wednesday) that thunderstorms with hailstorms and active winds will occur in some areas of Mecca Al-Mukarramah, Al-Baha, Asir, and Jizan, with fog forming during the night and early morning in parts of these areas and in parts of the northern region of the Kingdom, while active winds raising dust will affect parts of the northern border region, Al-Jawf. Al Sharqiyah, Riyadh and Medina extend into the southern part of the region. Tabuk.

According to the report, the surface wind movement in the Red Sea will be from northwest to north at 20-40 km/h in the northern and central regions, and from southeast to southwest at 15-30 km/h in the south, with wind speeds reaching 50 km/h, with rain thunderclouds occurring in the south, wave heights of 1-2 meters in the north and central regions, and wave heights of 0.5 to 0.5 meters. In the southern part, it can reach 1.5 meters, and when cumulonimbus clouds form, it can reach over 2.5 meters. It will rain in the south, causing small to medium waves in the north and central region, and cumulonimbus clouds of rain will form in the south, causing small to medium waves.

Winds in the Arabian Gulf are expected to be from the southwest to northwest at speeds of 15 to 33 km/h, with wave heights ranging from 0.5 meters to 1.5 meters, and sea conditions expected to be small to medium waves.
