One person was killed and dozens injured in a shocking accident on Friday when a tram derailed and crashed into a building in the northern Italian city of Milan, local authorities and media reported.
Officials said the number of infected people ranged from 20 to 40, including those with moderate or mild symptoms, and at least one person had died. Immediately after the accident, emergency services and paramedics rushed to the scene, administered first aid, and transported the injured to a nearby hospital.
Police set up a cordon around the accident site to facilitate the efforts of rescue teams and ensure the safety of the area, while Italian authorities launched an urgent investigation, including interviewing witnesses and investigating the technical condition of the tram and its route.
