JEDDAH — Rain with thunderstorms is expected to continue in the Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha and Makkah regions over the next few days, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

This report is based on NCM’s output from the Saudi numerical model and animated maps showing rainfall activity published by NCM.

After heavy rains in the south-west of Saudi Arabia on Sunday, heavy rain is expected to return along the south-west on Monday afternoon, affecting the borders of Jizan and Asir.

Most areas west of Asir will experience heavy rain and thunderstorms in areas around Abha, and some rain south of Al-Baha and Mecca.

The rain will start to ease and stop by the evening.

Rain will return Tuesday afternoon, affecting the same areas as Monday. More heavy rains will occur in most areas, but this time the rains are expected to weaken in areas around Abha.
