Oman hotels record 696,911 guests and $250 million in revenue

By the end of April 2026, the number of guests staying in Oman’s three- to five-star hotels reached 696,911, with hotel revenue reaching R96 million ($250 million).

Latest data published by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) reveals that Omani guests continue to dominate the number of hotel visitors.

The number increased by 3.5% compared to the same period in 2025, reaching 246,934 people.

In second place were guests from continental Europe with 220,015 guests, followed by guests from continental Asia with 106,189, nationals of GCC countries with 40,322, and guests from other Arab countries with 25,714.

In addition, the number of guests from the Americas reached 23,992, the number of guests from Oceania reached 7,083, and the number of guests from Africa reached 5,054.

Hotels classified as 3-5 stars recorded an occupancy rate of 50.2% by the end of April 2026.

According to statistics, the total number of overnight guests decreased by 15.9% compared to the same period in 2025, when 829,052 people were recorded.

Similarly, hotel revenue decreased by 12.2% compared to R109,484,000 in the same period last year.
