Egyptian actress Rahma Mohsen has responded to the criticism leveled at her after her first appearance in the series “Ali Quray” starring Egyptian artist Ahmed Al-Awadi, currently airing as part of the Ramadan 2026 drama season.

Rahma Mohsen confirmed to Okaz that the nomination for the role came through artist Ahmed Al Awadi, saying that he believed in her talent from the time she started singing and was a big supporter in all her artistic steps.
She said: “I don’t react to negative criticism, but I pay attention to positive comments, thinking that it is necessary to benefit from constructive criticism, because she believes in the right of everyone to express their opinion.”
She further added that “the style of criticism these days has become harsh and harmful, sometimes turning into defamation and insults”, stressing that she does not focus on destructive criticism, especially since it is impossible for everyone to agree on one opinion.
The series “Ali Quray” brings together the likes of Ahmed Al-Awadi, Dora, Mohammed Sarwat, Tariq Al-Desouqi, Intisar, Sahwa, Rahma Mohsen, Marwa Al-Azri, Yara Al-Sukari, Issam Al-Saqa, Mahmoud Al-Bazawi and others, written by Mahmoud Hamdan and directed by Muhammad Abdel Salam.
