Salgado’s name has witnessed another return to the international football scene, this time through the Emirati football portal as Alan Salgado, son of former Spain national team star Michel Salgado, officially begins his international career with the UAE U-17 national team.

Salgado Sr., the former Real Madrid star and one of the most famous players in the history of Spanish football, expressed his great pride in his son on social media, praising his efforts and calling on him to continue working and remain humble in order to maintain his place in the national team.

Alan’s appearance comes as an extension of his family’s addition to the Emirates football scene, with his older brother Miguel Salgado previously representing the Emirates U-20 national team and then playing professionally with Portuguese club Estoril Praia. According to Spanish newspaper Marc, all of the Spanish star’s children hold Emirati citizenship.
