RIYADH — Red Sea Global will enter a pivotal transition period, moving from development to full-scale operations in 2026, with the first phase of both the Red Sea and Amara destinations opening by the end of the year, officials said.
Speaking at the PIF Private Sector Forum, RSG Group Chief Legal Officer and Head of Investment Group Greg Gerejian said the company has opened its Red Sea destination, Hub Island Shura, completing the first phase of the project.
At the same time, the first phase of Amara, about 200 kilometers north along the Red Sea coast, will also open.
“We plan to open Red Sea Phase 1 and Amara Phase 1 by the end of the year,” Gerejian said, adding that the two destinations will have a total of 25 hotels, bringing the total to 27 including the two properties in Turtle Bay.
He said the milestone marks a strategic shift for the company.
“This is a pivotal year for Red Sea Global as we transition from developer to operator,” he said, noting that the company is preparing to welcome its first large-scale guests to both destinations.
Mr Gerejian said the coming period was an “exciting time” for the company as Red Sea Global also continued to advance its extensive project pipeline.
He expressed his gratitude for the continued support from the Public Investment Fund, saying it has been central to enabling realization and long-term planning.
“We are very grateful for PIF’s continued support and the future is very bright,” he said, encouraging partners and visitors to experience the destination first-hand.
