RIYADH — King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) has announced a major terminal transition from February 16 to 25, introducing expanded guidance services and complimentary transportation options to ensure a smooth passenger experience.
The airport detailed the plan in a video published on its official X account, outlining operational measures to efficiently manage passenger movements during the transition period.
More than 250 transfer guides will be stationed at key transfer points throughout the airport as part of a fully integrated guidance team.
In addition, more than 400 staff from the airport’s Ask Me team will be stationed at terminal gates, subway stations and parking lots to assist travelers and direct them to the correct terminal.
To facilitate transportation between terminals, KKIA provides several free services, including free taxis for interterminal transfers, free subway service between terminals, one hour of free parking, and a shuttle service that runs every four minutes.
Airport authorities advised passengers to contact their airlines before arrival to confirm their assigned terminal.
Travelers can also take advantage of KKIA’s interactive WhatsApp service. The service provides flight details up to 48 hours in advance and provides real-time updates.
The terminal transition is one of the airport’s largest operational adjustments and will include enhanced on-site support and smart service tools aimed at minimizing disruption and maintaining passenger convenience throughout the process.
