Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a comprehensive program of community initiatives to commemorate the holy month of Ramadan under the theme ‘Among Our People’.

The program aims to strengthen social solidarity, foster a spirit of generosity and giving throughout the community, and bring well-being to a wide range of beneficiaries, including underprivileged families and orphans, as well as workers, subway users, bus drivers, couriers and taxi drivers. These humanitarian efforts will be carried out across the emirate during the holy month.

As part of an integrated effort to strengthen community cooperation, RTA is collaborating with multiple partners in the government and private sector to implement Ramadan initiatives, including Keolis MHI, DAMAC Properties, Noon, Beit Al Khair Society, Al Ahliah Charity Schools, and Dar Al Hay Gents Tailoring.

RTA is committed to engaging its employees and volunteers to implement these initiatives in different regions of the UAE, reflecting its approach of promoting volunteerism, embedding a culture of social responsibility and promoting humanitarian work, thereby embodying the values of compassion and cooperation that are characteristic of the UAE community.

RTA continues to implement the “Mials on Wheel” initiative as one of its key programs. The effort includes preparing and distributing 8,000 meals during Ramadan at RTA’s headquarters and Kolanic Park, where RTA employees and community volunteers will prepare and distribute the meals to workers.

RTA is also collaborating with Dubai Metro and Dubai Trams operating partners Keolis MHI, DAMAC Properties and Noon to organize the ‘Iftar Food Distribution at Metro Stations’ initiative. Iftar meals, along with awareness messages, will be distributed to heavy vehicle drivers, bus and taxi drivers, and workers.

RTA has launched the “Thank You, RTA Heroes” campaign across its official social media platforms, giving the public the opportunity to share messages of gratitude to frontline workers and customer service teams, as well as bus drivers, delivery drivers, metro staff and shipping staff. The most impactful posts will be selected and winners will receive nol cards and shopping vouchers.
