GENEVA — Saudi Arabia strongly condemns the blatant and despicable Iranian attack targeting the Riyadh region and Eastern Province, calling it an attack that cannot be justified under any pretext or circumstances.
Ambassador Abdulmohsen bin Kotaira, Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva, called on the international community to strongly condemn and condemn these attacks, given their serious implications for regional and international peace. He made the remarks while attending the general debate of the 61st session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva.
Mr. Bin Kotaira also strongly condemned the brutal Iranian attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Jordan, calling them flagrant violations of national sovereignty and the principles of good neighborliness, and a clear violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.
“These attacks target civilian facilities and residential areas, threatening the safety, security and lives of citizens and residents. This is a serious violation of the rules of international humanitarian law and international human rights law, and undermines the foundations of security and stability in the region,” he said, confirming that Saudi Arabia will take all necessary measures to protect its citizens and residents, as well as safeguard security and safeguard sovereignty and stability.
