The statement was made on Wednesday as Mr. al-Budawi participated in the final day of the exercise in Qatar. The event was attended by Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of Interior of Qatar, along with GCC Interior Ministers.

“The fourth training exercise conducted by the GCC Ministries of the Interior with the participation of specialized forces from our friendly United States of America is of critical importance in supporting the collective framework for Gulf security,” the Secretary-General said.

The Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Qatar Ministry of Interior in hosting and organizing the exercise, noting that the extensive resources and capabilities provided contributed to the success of the exercise.
