Yesterday (Wednesday), Minister of Information Salman bin Yousef Al Dosari witnessed the closing ceremony of the 5th Saudi Media Forum, held under the auspices of “Media in a Shaping World” and the accompanying exhibition “The Future of Media” FOMX, and the announcement of the winners of the forum’s award track, in the presence of a large number of ministers, officials and media experts from Saudi Arabia and abroad.

In his speech, Saudi Media Forum Chairman Mohammed bin Fahd Al Harithi expressed his gratitude to all supporters, partners and participants, saying, “What a beautiful thing, what a sweet moment of gratitude, the title of tonight’s event, Gratitude.” is the moment when we affirm the essence of truth and the authenticity of our humanity, and the more people we meet and the more awareness we have, the more we will pay attention to their symbols, honor them and pay homage to their creators.” Gratitude is not an ordinary word, but rather a word that reflects a culture. If you appreciate it, I’ll give you more. Gratitude is the essence of nobility.

He explained that the forum was attended by around 300 speakers from all over the world, and that the wide range of attendees enriched the discussions and contributed to turning the event into an exceptional media carnival, highlighting the Forum’s efforts to transform seasonal events into sustainable organizational activities through qualitative initiatives, in particular the Media Innovation Center, the Nomu initiative to support media entrepreneurs, and the Media Ambassador initiative to discover and empower talent. In addition to the “Light” initiative to transfer the forum experience to different regions of the Kingdom, a number of university students also participated.

The Forum President pointed out that the “Future of Media” exhibition had more than 250 companies participating and exhibiting the latest content production technologies, which enabled a wide global participation, and emphasized that with the support of wise leaders and the follow-up of the Minister of Information, today’s media are partners in development, creators of awareness and engines of change.

Mr. Al Hersi appreciated the efforts of strategic partners, sponsors, working teams and participants, and expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed, participated and attended the forum.

It was later announced that the Saudi Media Forum had set a world record by reaching 65,603 visitors, and was eventually recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records. This is an achievement that reflects the Forum’s growing position on the international media event map.

At the closing ceremony, the winners of the Forum’s awards in the 5th session were announced in various tracks. This is part of the Forum’s commitment to supporting and stimulating creativity in the media. The award in the “Press Report” track was won by Khaled Al Badr, the “Journalistic Dialogue” track went to Abdul Hadi Habtoor, and the “Academic Research” track went to Rama Al Saleh.

In the “Audio Visual Media” category, the “Media Content Generated by Artificial Intelligence” award went to LUMA AI, the “Social Talk Program” track award went to the Kingdom of Morocco’s “Rashid Show” program, and the “Podcast and Radio Talk Program” track award went to the Ministry of Culture’s “Podcast 1949” program.

The award for “Best Media Production on National Day” was won by the Tourism Development Fund’s film “What Have You Heard About Saudi Arabia?”, and the award for “Best Media Production on National Day” was won by the Ministry of Defense for the film “Al Awja”.

Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiya, Counselor to the Royal Court and General Director of the King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Assistance Center, received the “Global Competitor” award, while the “Press Column” award went to Dr. Mohammed Al Rumaihi.

The Vision 2030 account won the award in the “Best Media Work of Science Day” category.

Later, the “Media Personality of the Year” award was announced, honoring renowned journalist Dr. Hussein Najjar for his career in the media.

At the end of the ceremony, the winners posed for a commemorative photo with Salman bin Yousef Al Dosari, Minister of Information, and then praised their partners and sponsors.
