Saudi Arabia emphasizes institutional and geographical integrity of Gaza and West Bank

Saudi Arabia emphasizes the need to implement UN Security Council Resolution 2803 (To End the Gaza Conflict) as the main legal and political framework, particularly with regard to the work of the Peace Council, the withdrawal of Israeli forces, the end of the occupation, and the creation of conditions conducive to political progress.

Dr. Manal Radwan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Plenipotentiary of Saudi Arabia, said that increased diplomatic efforts, dialogue and concerted action are needed at this stage to keep the peace process in line with the core objectives of ending the conflict and achieving lasting peace.

Mr. Radwan was speaking at the 8th conference of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution in Dublin. The conference was held under the auspices of the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and was attended by Member States and international partners.

He stressed the importance of supporting the Palestinian National Authority, strengthening its institutional capacity, and ensuring institutional and geographical continuity between Gaza and the West Bank in order to maintain the integrity of the Palestinian territories.

Mr. Radwan said the Global Alliance provides a unique international platform to coordinate peace efforts and be more effective in advancing political solutions.

He praised the vital role of the United States and the efforts led by President Donald Trump, noting that working with Washington to implement a comprehensive peace plan represents a real opportunity to end the conflict and move towards regional integration and sustainable stability.

He stressed that Ireland’s experience in peacebuilding shows that complex conflicts can be resolved if peace processes are guided by a comprehensive approach, clear political horizons, rejection of violence, and promotion of dialogue and confidence-building.

Mr. Radwan reiterated his warning about continued violations by Israeli occupation forces and violations of the ceasefire agreement, and stressed the importance of the New York Declaration, the Comprehensive Peace Plan, and Security Council Resolution 2803 as unifying frameworks.

Finally, he reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to working with regional and international partners to achieve a just and lasting peace that satisfies the Palestinian people’s aspirations for self-determination and an independent state, while ensuring security and stability throughout the region.
