inappropriate sarcasm
The Council confirmed that it had received a complaint from the lawyer Shaaban Saeed, who represents the artist Ashraf Zaki, the representative of the Syndicate of the Acting Profession, against the blogger “Umm Jasser” for publishing on social networking sites a video that mocks the representative of the Syndicate of the Acting Profession in an inappropriate manner, claiming that he is capable of working in the acting profession without having to obtain the necessary permits for union membership or professional activity.
The Chairman of the Council therefore decided to refer the complaint to the Complaints Committee, which will scrutinize and consider its contents and take legal action as required by law.
turn off the mind
The Egyptian Syndicate for Actors had previously decided to cancel the “Spirit Off” series and not air it in the upcoming month of Ramadan.
In an official statement, the union explained that the suspension decision was made after sending series producer Bilal Sabri multiple warnings and admonitions about the need to comply with the union’s regulations and the laws governing artistic works, but he continued to ignore and violate these instructions.
It also showed that the last of these violations was the producer’s appearance in the edited video clip of the blogger “Umm Jasser” who signed a contract to participate in one of the artistic productions, in clear and obvious violation of the Union’s decision to prohibit the use of anyone who is not registered in the schedule with the necessary legal permissions.
Umm Jazer caused controversy by simply posting a video clip on his Facebook page in which he made inappropriate comments about the union’s decision and even mentioned the captain’s name in a sarcastic way.

The Council confirmed that it had received a complaint from lawyer Shaaban Saeed, who represents the artist Ashraf Zaki, the representative of the Actors Syndicate, against the blogger “Umm Jaisaa” who published a video on social media in which he made remarks in an inappropriate manner mocking the representatives of the Actors Syndicate, claiming that he was capable of working in the acting profession without obtaining syndicate membership and the necessary permits for professional activity.
The President of the Council has therefore decided to refer the complaint to the Complaints Committee for examination, to consider its contents and to take legal action in accordance with applicable legislation.
Stop “Spirit OFF”
The Egyptian Actors Syndicate previously decided to cancel the series “Spirit Off” and not broadcast it in the next month of Ramadan.
The syndicate said in an official statement that the decision to cancel the series came after multiple warnings to the series’ producer Bilal Sabry, stressing the need to abide by the syndicate’s rules and the laws governing artistic works. However, he ignored the instructions and continued to violate them.
It also showed that a recent violation, expressed by the producer’s appearance in a video circulated alongside the blogger “Umm Jazer” during the contract for participation in a certain artistic production, clearly and unequivocally violates the Syndicate’s decision prohibiting the employment of individuals who are not registered with the Syndicate and do not have the necessary legal permissions.
In response, “Umm Jazer” published a video on his Facebook page in which he spoke inappropriately about the syndicate’s decision and sarcastically referred to the syndicate’s head, causing a stir.
