Under the patronage and on behalf of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Riyadh Regional Governor Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz will attend the closing ceremony to honor the winners of the regional competition for the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Award for Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation of the Holy Quran, to be held next Friday at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The 27th session is “for men” and the closing ceremony honoring the winners of the competition will be held tomorrow (Thursday) night, the second of the holy month of Ramadan, in honor of Princess Fahdah bint Farah Al Hatrin, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. During the men’s and women’s ceremonies, the male and female finalists will be crowned the top three of the six divisions of the competition. This category includes the complete memorization of the Qur’an using the seven frequently recited “Narrations and Knowledge” and complete memorization with interpretation, as well as the memorization of 20 parts, 10 parts, and 5 parts with excellent performance and intonation.
Dr. Sheikh Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs Bidding and Guidance and General Director of Regional and International Quran Competitions, said that the competition is one of the most important competitions for memorizing and mastering the Book of God. He explained that the event has become one of the prestigious national competitions with the generous support and continuous donations from the management of the Two Holy Mosques, as well as diligent follow-up from the Crown Prince, indicating that the amount of support allocated to this competition is significant. Mr. Al-Sheikh added that the leadership’s concern for the Holy Quran extends from the time of King Abdulaziz to this period of prosperity under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, stressing that this consideration has become a solid Islamic project adopted and supported by the country, an important pillar that pays attention to serving the Book of God, preserving and disseminating it, and strengthening its values and principles of seeking mercy. and the spread of temperance and moderation.
