The Zakat Taxation and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has called on business units subject to value-added tax with an annual supply of goods and services of more than SR40 million to submit January tax returns by February 28, 2026 at the latest.

Zatca called on establishments to promptly submit their tax returns through the website (https://zatca.gov.sa/ar/Pages/default.aspx) or submit and pay their tax returns through the authority’s smartphone application (ZATCA), in order to avoid penalties of a minimum of 5% and a maximum of 25% of the tax amount taxpayers are required to declare in case of late filing of the return within the specified period.

communication and information

Zatca appealed to taxpayers in the corporate sector who wish to obtain further information on VAT to contact Zakat through the unified call center number (19993), which operates 24/7, or through the ‘Ask Zakat, Taxes and Customs’ account at (@Zatca_Care) (https://zatca.gov.sa/ar/Pages/default.aspx).

Value-added tax is a tax system in force in the Kingdom and is an indirect tax levied on all goods and services bought and sold by establishments, with some exceptions.
