RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has reaffirmed the Kingdom’s position of respecting Iran’s sovereignty and refusing to use Saudi airspace or territory for any military action against Iran, regardless of the source or direction of the attack.
The position was conveyed in a telephone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
During the telephone conversation, the Crown Prince emphasized Saudi Arabia’s support for efforts to resolve the conflict through dialogue in a way that strengthens security and stability across the region.
Mr. Pezeshkian briefed the Crown Prince on recent developments in Iran, including the government’s efforts to address current challenges and the latest talks related to the nuclear file.
The Iranian President expressed his gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s firm stand on respecting Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and praised the Crown Prince’s role and efforts aimed at promoting regional security and stability.
