Souk Al Jubail in the cities of Sharjah, Al Dhaid and Kalba recorded impressive foot traffic throughout 2025, welcoming more than 5.8 million shoppers. This reflects Souq Al Jubail’s outstanding position as a major commercial, retail and social destination that supports economic activity and strengthens the Emirate of Sharjah’s food security system by providing fresh and diverse food products in accordance with the highest quality and safety standards.
This performance growth confirms Souq Al Jubail’s success in serving as one of the key pillars of the trade and food security ecosystem in the Emirate of Sharjah, through its future development plans focused on sustainability, service quality, and meeting the needs of the local community for fresh produce and a wide range of food products under one roof.
Abdallah Al Shamsi, Sharjah Market Senior Manager, said: “Sharjah City’s Souq Al Jubail attracted more than 4 million shoppers in 2025, in parallel with the hosting of several events and festivals such as the annual Date Festival, Ramadan Festival and Jubail Winter Festival. Added to this was the launch of valet parking services, which contributed to improving the shopping experience and increasing service efficiency.”
Mr. Al Shamsi added: “This high number of visitors reflects the growing confidence in the market as an integrated destination that combines food quality and diversity, ease of access and high service standards. The market operates in line with an ongoing development plan focused on improving supply chain efficiency, supporting local suppliers and expanding services tailored to the needs of visitors, contributing to achieving a sustainable food security system in the emirate.”
Talal Mohammed, Central Regional Market Director, said: “Souk Al Jubail in Al Dhaid recorded more than 985,000 shoppers in 2025, in parallel with the expansion of facilities and services. This also included the opening of a hypermarket and the development of commercial units dedicated to restaurants and cafes, which contributed to meeting the needs of different segments of the community.”
He further added, “The holding of Ramadan Festival, Jubail Winter Festival and the annual Date Festival contributed to the activation of commercial activities in the market.
