The Jeddah Historic District Program is proudly taking part as a Gold Sponsor in the upcoming Second Saudi Tourism Forum 2024, scheduled from January 22-24 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center. The forum, expected to draw over 400 entities from the tourism sector, is a platform for the program to promote Jeddah’s historical and cultural heritage as a prime tourist destination.

This will be the second appearance of the Jeddah Historic District Program at the forum, where it will actively contribute to the main symposium. The program will highlight its strategy for community development, focusing on initiatives to improve the quality of life in the area and make Historic Jeddah an attractive and sustainable destination for residents and investors.

The primary objective of the Second Saudi Tourism Forum is to boost tourism in the Kingdom, providing a space for government entities and the private sector to showcase Saudi Arabia’s tourism destinations and services. Aligned with the Vision 2030 goals, the forum aims to strengthen the Saudi private sector, promote a vibrant society, and create a prosperous economy through diversification and investment, with tourism playing a crucial role.

Established in 2018 under the Ministry of Culture, the Jeddah Historic District Program plays a key role in revitalizing the Historic Jeddah area while preserving its unique heritage. The program focuses on restoring both tangible and intangible cultural heritage, adhering to UNESCO requirements and global standards. Through various projects within the master plan for Historic Jeddah, the program aims to transform the living environment into a dynamic hub for business ventures and cultural projects.
