EGYPT – Hassan Alam Properties plans to execute new projects worth EGP 14 billion during 2026 and will launch a dedicated hospitality brand to manage its expanding hotel portfolio, said Vice Chairman and CEO Mohamed Alam.
The company has diversified beyond residential development into hospitality, sports and education through partnerships with local and international organizations. The new hospitality brand will manage its own hotel projects as well as third-party developments, Alam revealed.
Hassan Allam Properties is currently developing four hotels in New Cairo, 6th of October City, and the North Coast. With a total number of approximately 700 rooms, the projects are expected to be operational in 2028 and 2029.
“Our diverse portfolio currently includes more than 25 projects,” Alam said, noting that the company is currently prioritizing the completion of eight ongoing projects in Mostaqbar City, the North Coast and El Gouna before considering new developments in the New Administrative Capital.
Commenting on market conditions, Mr. Alam said that Egypt’s real estate sector remains promising due to population growth, characterizing the current situation as a return to normal growth rates rather than a slump. He noted that demand remains strong and predicted that prices for some of the company’s projects could rise by 5% to 10% this fiscal year.
Regarding project financing, Alam said it is standard practice to seek external funding for certain stages of a project. He emphasized that the company maintains strong relationships with financial institutions to support its execution and expansion plans.
Mr. Alam added that Mostaqbal City remains the main focus of the company’s investments and serves as the foundation for its current diversified project portfolio.
