A sudden explosion occurred today (Saturday) inside an industrial factory in northern Iran, killing one worker and injuring two others. The accident shed light on a series of industrial and military-related incidents in the country.
According to Iranian media, the explosion occurred at around 9:21 a.m. on the Karara-Kambud Kavu axis, causing three workers to fall from the top of a silo designated for storing wheat and grain at the factory, creating an extremely dangerous scene.
Iran’s ILNA news agency reported that one worker succumbed to his injuries and the others were taken to hospital for treatment, as paramedics and paramedics stood guard around the site.
Officials confirmed that the bodies of the deceased workers have been recovered from the accident site, but competent authorities are still investigating to determine the cause of the explosion and the technical circumstances that led to it.
The factory is an industrial facility with huge silos that produces and stores animal, poultry and fish feed, raising questions about occupational safety standards in this type of high-risk facility.
The explosion came just hours after Iran’s military leadership announced that a limited fire had broken out inside one of Tehran’s military camps, saying the cause of the fire was an electrical leakage and that it had been extinguished with no casualties recorded.
These tense incidents have intensified the state of controversy in Iranian media circles, especially with repeated incidents of explosions and fires in industrial and military facilities during the period of close contact.
Iranian authorities have not yet issued a detailed statement on the cause of the White Gold factory explosion, but have confirmed that the investigation is still ongoing and results will be announced once the technical inspection of the site is completed.
