DUBAI – Dubai Aerospace Enterprises (DAE) announced on Thursday that it has reached a lease agreement with Royal Air Maroc for 13 new Boeing 737-8 aircraft.
The aircraft is expected to be delivered in 2027. This follows an earlier agreement to lease two Boeing 737-8 aircraft to Royal Air Maroc, with delivery scheduled for 2025.
“The Kingdom of Morocco is rapidly growing as Africa’s tourism and business hub, with expanding air connectivity led by Royal Air Maroc. We look forward to introducing these new Boeing 737-8 aircraft to our fleet and look forward to continuing to support Royal Air Maroc with its future fleet requirements,” said Firoz Tarapoa, Chief Executive Officer of DAE.
Abdelhamid Adou, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Royal Air Maroc, said the deal is fully consistent with Royal Air Maroc’s strategic ambition to become the world’s leading connector.
“The Boeing 737-8 will strengthen our network development capabilities, enabling us to launch new routes and increase frequencies with greater operational efficiency. It will also enhance our flexibility to meet growing demand while providing reliable connectivity with Africa, Europe and the rest of the world,” he added.
