Today (Thursday), the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) called on Israel to allow humanitarian supplies stuck in warehouses in Egypt and Jordan to be brought to the Gaza Strip and distributed to those in need.
In a statement on the “X” platform, the agency confirmed that Israel has been blocking the entry of food, hygiene products, medicine and shelter materials into Gaza since March 2025, stressing that life-saving assistance is ready to move and there is no time to waste.
She said her team never stopped supporting those on the ground.
Meanwhile, the Gaza Ministry of Health, through the International Committee of the Red Cross, received 54 Palestinian bodies and 66 boxes containing bodies and organs from the Israeli army.
The Gaza POW Media Association called for immediate disclosure and unconditional release of the true number of bodies still in Israeli custody, and stressed the need to hold accountable those responsible for grave violations of international law that affect the most basic human values.
The association noted that handing over human body parts and organs to Palestinian victims raises serious concerns about the possibility of body tampering and organ theft, which requires the launch of an independent and transparent international investigation.
Israel announced last week that the body of the last Israeli held in the Gaza Strip had been found, ending records of detainees and bodies held in the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian sources estimate that Israel stores more than 770 bodies, dozens of which are believed to be buried in Israel’s so-called “Number Cemetery.”
