Mace, a global consultant and construction expert, has announced that construction work on the historic Jebel Ali Racecourse will begin later this year. The five-square-kilometre mixed-use project creates walkable neighborhoods, shaded boulevards, and vibrant public spaces, giving residents access to green space, essential services, and local amenities within minutes.
WSP, a global engineering and professional services consultancy, has engaged UAE-based ARM Holding to lead the Detailed Master Plan (DMP) for the Jebel Ali Racecourse redevelopment works. It is currently in the planning stages and is expected to be built early this year.
Mr Mace said the scope of his work as project manager would include governance and management, design management, stakeholder and consultant coordination, procurement and commercial oversight, cost and budget management, digitization and information management, knowledge transfer and sustainability support.
“In line with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, this development will promote soft mobility, sustainability and healthier and more connected lives for future generations.
Spanning an area of more than 5 million square meters, this innovative development reimagines urban living through a mix of residential, commercial, hospitality, retail and leisure uses, centered around 1.5 million square meters of green space, while preserving and integrating the historic Jebel Ali Racecourse into the wider landscape.
