Speaking under the patronage and presence of Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khoraef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Majid bin Rafed Al-Ghoubi, CEO of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), and in the presence of the Faculty of Engineering. Khaled bin Ahmed Al Shafri, Vice President of the Food Sector of the Industry Center of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, and Mohammed bin Abdulrazak Al Owari, Director of the Agriculture and Food Production Sector of Siniora Food Industries, officially opened the new manufacturing plant in the city of Jeddah over two days.
The opening of the new factory is part of Siniora’s expansion strategy in the Saudi market and is in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to strengthen local content, support domestic industry, achieve food security and localize high-quality investments in the food manufacturing sector.
Al Aqad: Strategic investments and strong confidence in the Saudi economy
Tarek Omar Al Akhad, Chairman of Siniora Food Industries, said the completion of the new factory in Jeddah marks a strategic milestone in Siniora’s journey.
He pointed out that the project reflects strong confidence in the Saudi economy and the Kingdom’s attractive investment environment, integrated industrial ecosystem, and effective government support that makes industrial investment a sustainable long-term option. He emphasized that the new factory underlines Siniora’s commitment to building sustainable partnerships and responsible investments that support the national economy and strengthen Saudi Arabia’s position as a regional industrial hub.
CEO: Annual production capacity of 10,000 tons, employment opportunities for approximately 300 people
Majidi Al Sharif, Chief Executive Officer of Engineering Siniora Food Industries, described the new factory as an important operational achievement and a pivotal step in the company’s growth within the Kingdom, noting that the project was implemented in accordance with the highest global standards in the food manufacturing industry.
Engineering Al Sharif explained that the first phase of the factory will be established in an urban area of 11,500 square meters and will have a production capacity of up to 10,000 tons of frozen and refrigerated products per year using the latest technology.
He added that the investment amount for the first phase amounted to SR 150 million, and the support of the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) covered 50% of the investment amount and contributed to accelerating the implementation of the project. He also confirmed that the factory will create more than 300 job opportunities, with a focus on recruiting and training domestic talent and increasing the Saudiness rate of the overall workforce.
CEO Al Sharif praised the strong cooperation on this project by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, and the Investment Promotion Agency. He emphasized that the speed of procedures and integration between government agencies played a crucial role in completing the project according to the planned schedule.
The new Siniora plant will be a valuable addition to the Saudi food manufacturing sector, contributing to strengthening local supply chains, increasing production efficiency and supporting food security. It also plays a key role in transferring industrial expertise and knowledge and localizing the latest technology in this important sector.
