An unusual and surprising incident occurred in a house in India. Five snakes were found inside an air conditioner in a bedroom of a home, and four of them were rescued and later released into the nearby forest.
According to the owner of the house, the incident started when he heard a strange noise coming from the air conditioner, so when he investigated with a flashlight, he found part of the body of a snake, so he immediately called for help.
A specialized reptile rescue team responded and a snake catcher arrived to inspect the unit and determined that the reptile was a common bronze snake and was non-venomous. First two snakes were found and then two more snakes were found on the opposite part of the unit and the air conditioner had to be disassembled with the help of a professional technician to remove it.
As for the fifth snake, it managed to escape before the small opening closed, but the rescue team advised residents to prune branches near their homes and close potential air conditioning openings to avoid reptile intrusion in the future.
Experts believe the snake entered the area through a nearby tree branch, especially during mating season when reptiles seek warm, sheltered areas.
