press release:

Saudi Arabian AI-driven cybersecurity company COGNNA today announced that it has raised $9.2 million in a Series A funding round led by Impact46, co-led by BNVT Capital, with participation from Vision Ventures and Tali Ventures.

Founded in 2022 by Ibrahim Alshamrani, COGNNA provides proactive, scalable, and cost-effective cybersecurity operations for enterprises and small businesses. Its platform combines advanced AI automation with expert human oversight to help organizations simplify compliance, strengthen resiliency, and scale security as their business grows.

The new funding will accelerate COGNNA’s global expansion, support major investments in product development, sales growth, operations and team hiring, and strengthen the company’s AI capabilities. COGNNA aims to extend the Agentic SOC platform, which is designed to predict and defend against threats in real-time, rather than simply reacting to them.

Ziyad AlSheri, CTO of COGNNA, said: “Through an AI-driven platform, we are building an Agentic SOC that not only responds to threats, but anticipates them.” “This funding will enable us to accelerate our AI and automation research and development, scale globally, and continue to deliver security that learns, adapts, and protects in real time.”

COGNNA will allocate its investments in four key areas:

Product Development – Drive AI automation and enhance platform scalability. Sales and Marketing – Strengthen your market presence across MENA and reach global markets. Grow your team – Grow your engineering and SOC operations teams to meet growing demand. Operations – Build infrastructure that supports global scalability and operational resiliency.

As cyber threats increase and the demand for intelligent cybersecurity increases, COGNNA is positioning itself as a global player delivering high-impact, AI-driven protection across markets.
