WARSAW – Saudi Arabia’s Prince Faisal bin Farhan said on Monday that relations between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates remain essential to regional stability, while acknowledging that the two countries have “differences of opinion” on the issue of Yemen.
At a joint press conference with his Polish counterpart in Warsaw, Prince Faisal emphasized Saudi Arabia’s commitment to strengthening ties with Poland and announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding to establish a joint coordination council between the two countries.
He said that Saudi Arabia is looking forward to expanding its cooperation with Poland, especially in the economic field, noting that bilateral trade has reached approximately $8 billion, reflecting the strength of economic ties and growing partnership.
Prince Faisal said Saudi Arabia and Poland share a common view on the importance of supporting stability in Palestine, Yemen and Sudan, and stressed that they will continue to work together on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
He added that Saudi Arabia reiterated its full support for a peaceful resolution of the Russia-Ukraine crisis and stressed the need to strengthen global security and stability through dialogue and diplomacy.
Meanwhile, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said that Saudi Arabia is Poland’s biggest partner in the Middle East and expressed Warsaw’s gratitude for Saudi efforts regarding Ukraine.
Sikorski said Poland supports international efforts aimed at stabilizing Palestine and condemned Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip.
He also noted that Poland has no concrete information about potential steps the United States might take against Iran, referring to the ongoing developments surrounding the Iranian file.
