“Meteorology”: Thunderstorms in four regions – Saudi News

In its weather forecast today (Saturday), the National Meteorological Center predicted that rainy cumulonimbus clouds and fog will continue to occur in parts of the highlands of Jizan, Asir, Al-Baha and Mecca Al-Mukarramah regions, while active winds stirring up dust and dust will continue to affect the eastern parts of these areas and parts of Najran, Riyadh, Al-Qasim and Al-Sharqiyah. According to the report, the surface wind conditions in the Red Sea are northwest-to-northeast winds of 15-30 km/h in the northern and central regions, and south-to-southwest winds of 12-32 km/h (up to 50 km/h) in the south, with thunderclouds forming and wave heights of 0.5 to 1.5 meters, up to 2 meters, and thunderclouds occurring in the south. Surface winds in the Arabian Gulf are expected to be northwesterly to northerly, with speeds of 15 to 38 km/h, wave heights of 0.5 to 1.5 meters, and sea conditions of small to medium waves.

The National Meteorological Center forecast today (Saturday) that thundercloud formation and fog will continue in parts of the highlands of Jizan, Asir, Al-Baha and Makkah regions. Meanwhile, active winds lifting dust and sand will continue in the eastern part of these regions, Najran, Riyadh, Qassim, Eastern Province, northern border, and parts of Al-Jawf.

According to the report, the surface wind conditions in the Red Sea are northwest to northeast winds of 15 to 30 km/h in the northern and central regions, and south to southwest winds of 12 to 32 km/h in the south, reaching up to 50 km/h due to the formation of thunderstorm clouds. Wave height is expected to be between 0.5 meters and 1.5 meters, reaching 2 meters in the southern part due to thunderstorm clouds, but waves are expected to be turbulent due to thunderstorm clouds in the southern part, and sea conditions are expected to be weak to moderate.
